Silviculture

The Silviculture Group is engaged in teaching and research of multifunctional forest management concepts. The group aims to advance our understanding on silviculture of multifunctional mixed-​species forests in an era of global change. Specifically, we investigate the effect of silvicultural systems, climate change, species mixture and competition on regeneration and growth of temperate and boreal tree species. Our researches employ a variety of tools such as tree rings, forest inventory and remote sensing data.
