Data for Numerical Investigation of Sediment Yield Underestimation in Supply-Limited Mountain Basins with Short Records

The dataset contains the input and output files from the publication by Hirschberg et al. (2022).

The input files are the climate forcing time series generated with the AWE-GEN model. The output files include the hydrological outputs, which is the same for scenarios 1-6 considered in Hirschberg et al. (2022), and the sediment-related outputs, whereas the transport-limited scenario 6 is included in the output of scenario 1.

The input file includes:

  • incoming shortwave radiation Rsw (W/m^2)
  • cloudiness N (-)

The output files include:

  • hydrological outputs (accroding to time in input and normalized by basin area)

    • total discharge Q (mm/h)
    • surface discharge Qs (mm/h)
    • subsurface discharge Qss (mm/h)
    • soil water storage Vw (mm)
    • snow depth snow (mm SWE)
    • snow depth change snowacc (mm/h SWE)
    • potential evapotranspiration PET (mm/h)
    • actual evapotranspiration AET (mm/h)
  • sediment outputs (accroding to time in input and normalized by basin area)

    • hillslope landslide magnitude ls (mm/h)
    • channel sediment storage sc (mm)
    • hillslope sediment storage sh (mm)
    • total sediment discharge so (mm/h)
    • transport-limited total sediment discharge sopot (mm/h)
    • sediment discharge by debris flows dfs (mm/h)
    • transport-limited sediment discharge by debris flows dfspot
