Resources
Grid point nomenclature
The grid structure of each forest site and the respective nomenclature applied to label individual points within each grid are outlined here. Each point marks the location of snow depth measurements and co-located canopy structure parameters.
Grid point nomenclatureCoordinates data
Includes coordinate information of each surveyed point (7 x 276 = 1932 forest points, 2 open areas)
Coordinates dataCanopy data
Includes all canopy structure metrics computed at all surveyed locations
Canopy dataSnow depth data forest sites
Contains all snow depth data acquired at all forest sites during winters 2012/13, 2013714 and 2014/15.
Snow depth data forest sitesSnow depth data open sites
Contains all snow detph data accquired at open sites nearby the forest stands during the same period.
Snow depth data open sitesMeteo data to drive FSM2 model
Includes meteorological driving data used to run the forest snow model FSM2, processed and parsed in text files that match the format required by FSM2. Separate files are available for each field area (Laret, Drusatscha and Ischlag) and season (2012/13, 2013/14, 2014/15). Each file includes data for the period from October 1st to May 31st at hourly resolution.
