The dataset corresponds to the typical signal shown in Figure 4 of the related publication and represents a centric impact (location 1.4) of a 24.8 mm quartz sphere dropped onto the PMA plate with a velocity of 1.05 m/s. The data include paired recordings from the accelerometer (mounted near the centre of the PMA internal plate) and the microphone element M01, obtained from ten repeated impact experiments. This dataset provides an example of the PMA system’s acoustic and vibration response to a single-particle impact. Additional data and details on experimental setup, signal analysis, and interpretation are available in the associated publication.
