Calibration data
A set of three consecutive inventories was used to generate records for the calibration of mortality models based on trees that were alive in the first and second inventory and either dead or alive in the third inventory.
## Meta data
__Reserve:__ Name of the forest reserve
__Plot:__ Permanent plot number
## Tree data
__Species:__ Latin species name (or species group, cf. _Quercus_ spp.)
__y:__ Status of the tree with 0 = alive and 1 = dead
__dt:__ Length of the mortality period (years)
__DBH:__ Diameter at breast height (mm) of the second inventory
__relBAI:__ Annual relative basal area increment (-) calculated based on the first and the second DBH measurement as the compound annual growth rate of the trees basal area
## Stand data
_All stand variables were calculated for the second inventory._
__mDBH:__ Mean diameter at breast height (mm)
__iqrDBH:__ Interquartile range of diameter at breast height (mm)
__BA:__ Basal area per hectare (m2 ha-1)
__N:__ Number of trees per hectare (ha-1)
## Climate data
_Both climate variables were calculated for the period between the second and the third inventory._
__P:__ Mean annual precipitation sum (mm)
__mT:__ Mean annual air temperature (°C)
